October: Themes: All things Orange and the #2 October 2: Orange Fruit October 9: Orange in Nature (maybe outside) October 16: Orange Animals October 23: Moon and stars October 30: Halloween costume parade and Pumpkins
November: Themes: All things Brown and the #3 November 6: No playgroup due to elections November 13: Brown in Nature November 20: Thanksgiving and the pilgrims November 27: Brown Animals
December: Themes: All things Yellow and the #4 December 4: Yellow in Nature December 11: Yellow Animals December 18: December Holidays December 25: No playgroup
January: Themes: All things White and the #5 January 1: No playgroup January 8: White Fruit January 15: White in Nature January 22: White Animals January 29: Snow sports and outdoor fun
February: Themes: All things Red and the # 6 February 5: Red fruit February 12: Valentines Day February 19: No playgroup February 26: Red and Safety: stop sign, fire engine
March: Themes: All things pink and purple and the # 7 March 4: Pink and purple in nature March 11: Wear your pjs and have a stuffed animal parade March 18: St. Patrick’s Day wear some green March 25: Easter, bunnies and colored eggs (possibly outside)
April: Themes: All things green and the # 8 April 1: No playgroup April 8: Green fruit April 15: Green in nature (possibly outside) April 22: Green animals April 29: Bring a funny hat to wear.
May: Themes: All things black and the #9 May 6: Black animals May 13: Detective / mystery Day May 20: Outdoor play at Shafor Park (weather permitting) May 27: Mom’s picnic at Orchardly Park (weather permitting)
Themes are meant to help the volunteers plan an activity for the children. These are only suggestions; please feel free to bring your own ideas. We want to make this enjoyable for the children; however they do seem to be better if they are up and moving during the activities.
