Virtual COSI Field Trip
COSI - Center of Science and Industry offers free online resources to complete science experiments and other fun activities at home. We will select one activity and offer the supplies free to a limited number of participants, however, most activities require only items commonly found at home. Your child can complete any activity that interests them. Each time your child completes an activity, you can submit the completion date and be entered to win a prize. More details to come!
Day Air Ballpark Tour
Meet us at Day Air Ballpark for a tour of the Dayton Dragons Stadium. We’ll be able to check out the dugouts, press box, and run the bases (weather permitting). We’ll take a group picture on the field and kids will receive some Dayton Dragons swag. Also included is a ticket voucher for the 2022 season (one per kid).
10AM session OR 3:45PM
Additional details:
This event is RSVP only. We are limited to 40 paid kids. Adults and kids 0-2 are free, however, an RSVP is still required. We have decided to break this into two groups - you can either join the tour at 10am or 3:45pm. Hopefully this will allow some school age kids to attend in the afternoon so if you have younger kids, please consider the morning session.
Parking is available. The tour is accessible for anyone needing accommodations, but please refrain from bringing strollers.
PLEASE NOTE THAT RSVP-ING ‘YES” TO THIS FACEBOOK EVENT DOES NOT CONFIRM YOUR ATTENDANCE. We will post the registration process in early September.
Oakwood Marching Band
Get in the homecoming spirit and join the Oakwood Marching Band for a few laps around the track! Please arrive promptly as we are joining their practice during the lunch hour. Bring instruments (pom poms are good too!) to play and march along with the band.
Touch a Truck
We are excited to partner with the City of Oakwood Public Works and Public Safety departments for this event! Oakwood Public Works will kick off the event at 3:15pm showcasing several vehicles and other equipment - garbage trucks! dump trucks! Oh my! Public Works will do a short demonstration then allow kids to get up close with the equipment.
Next, Oakwood Public Safety will arrive with a police car, ambulance and fire truck (as available). Expect sirens and flashing lights! Kids will also get to take a closer look at these vehicles.
