Erin is originally from Michigan but attended Ohio Northern University and started her career in public accounting in Toledo. There she met her husband, Curtis, who is also from the Toledo area. They moved out to Oklahoma City where he pursued his PhD in Accounting at the University of Oklahoma. After graduation, he accepted a position as an accounting professor at UD in 2019 and in 2026 was granted tenure!

They love being back closer to family as they now have a seven year old first grader at Smith, Margot, and a five year old preschooler, Jay. They’ve loved exploring the Dayton area and you'll definitely spot them at the OCC pool in the summer! You'll also find Erin volunteering at Smith, serving as Treasurer of the Wright Memorial Public Library Foundation, and subbing at Little Acorn Academy.

Erin has been active in the MOMs group for several years, first serving as the Field Trips Coordinator and most recently as Treasurer. Erin loves exploring the city and connecting with the moms in our community. There are so many fun annual events that she looks forward to every year.

Cleveland will probably always feel like home to Loren, but her roots (and much of her family) are in Texas. She also spent a decade in Atlanta, where she developed an affinity for Atlanta sports teams. But all sports loyalties became secondary to the Ohio State Buckeyes after she earned a History degree from OSU. She later earned an MPA and a JD from the University of Akron.

After spending a few years bouncing around the country after law school, Loren found her way back to Ohio to take a position at Wright-Patt Air Force Base. She now works for the Library of Congress.

When she’s not working, Loren most loves spending time with her 7 year old daughter, Sienna, and their 1 year old puppy, Cookie. She also enjoys co-leading a Girl Scout troop. In her free time, you’ll find her walking or riding her bike around town, studying therapeutic breathwork, or binge-watching trashy reality TV.

Loren is excited to continue connecting with the community and helping to carry on the culture and traditions that make the MOMs group such a special place.
